Strong's Exhaustive Bible Concordance Online

Use the drop-down arrow to change "References" to "The Bible" before entering your word in the search box. *In Noodle Tools cite as "reference"


Merriam-Webster

Choose either "Dictionary" or "Thesaurus" to search for your word. You will need 2 citations: one citation for each the Dictionary and the Thesaurus.


Concordance of Shakespeare's Complete Works from Open Source Shakespeare

Choose the letter of the alphabet that begins your word to see all the word forms beginning with that letter. Then hold down the "ctrl" and the "f" key at the same time to get a search box in the upper right of the page. Type your word into that search box to have the computer search the list for you. *You can click on the "see all the instances at once" link to see and skim all the verses that contain your word.


Brainy Quote

You can find a quotation by searching for your word in Brainy Quote or another online source of quotations. Be sure to click on the quotation and cite the page it shows up on individually, not the search page showing all of the quotattions.

Search with your word in one of these Poetry collection websites, or conduct your own search online, but remember to cite the actual source, not Google.

PERIODICAL Source
Use this database to find your word in a Periodical source. This could be a newspaper, magazine, journal, etc.

After searching for your word, use the left sidebar to narrow your search results so that ONLY PERIODICALS are included by checking the boxes.
